Cyrus Recruitment Ltd is a fast-expanding, Leeds-based recruitment agency that has become a trusted logistics partner across the North of England. To support our growth and the increasing complexity of our client operations, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Warehouse Manager to oversee full-site operations.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the entire warehouse function – from inbound receipts to outbound despatch, across multiple shifts and client accounts. You will drive operational excellence, control budgets, implement continuous improvement, and develop your management team. Responsibilities

• Take full P&L responsibility for warehouse operations, including labour costs, consumables, utilities, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximise space utilisation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supervisors and Team Leaders, creating clear succession pipelines.
• Set and enforce KPIs for productivity, accuracy, order turnaround time, and damage rates.
• Ensure full compliance with all health & safety legislation, insurance requirements, and client-specific quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with key clients, conducting regular performance reviews and service improvement plans.
• Oversee the implementation and optimisation of WMS and automation technologies.
• Manage recruitment forecasting, headcount planning, and seasonal peak preparation (e.g., Black Friday, Christmas).
• Handle high-level escalations – from major stock discrepancies to critical client complaints or HR matters.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years’ warehouse or logistics management experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proven track record of managing teams of 50+ staff across multiple shifts.
• Strong financial acumen – experience managing budgets, reducing waste, and delivering cost savings.
• Deep understanding of WMS, inventory control principles, and supply chain dynamics.
• Excellent stakeholder management – able to influence both clients and internal senior teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between client sites across the North of England.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business (or equivalent professional qualification – e.g., CILT).
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience implementing automation (conveyors, AS/RS, robotics) or warehouse retrofit projects.
• Multi-site or 3PL account management experience.
