Cyrus Recruitment Ltd is a dynamic, Leeds-headquartered recruitment agency experiencing rapid growth across the North of England’s logistics sector. As our client base expands, we are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Picker / Packers to join our talent pool.

This is the backbone role of any warehouse operation. You will be responsible for accurately selecting customer orders from warehouse shelves and preparing them for dispatch. It is a physically active role perfect for self-motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced, target-driven environments. Responsibilities

• Receive picking lists or handheld scanner instructions and locate items efficiently within the warehouse aisles.
• Accurately pick correct product codes, quantities, and batch numbers to minimise errors and returns.
• Pack items securely using appropriate materials (bubble wrap, boxes, pallet wrap) to prevent damage in transit.
• Label packages clearly with shipping labels, barcodes, and handling instructions.
• Place completed orders onto conveyors, pallets, or into designated dispatch bays for loading.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workstation throughout the shift.
• Assist with regular stock replenishment by restocking picking zones from bulk storage areas.
• Report any damaged, missing, or mislabelled inventory to the supervisor immediately.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Good numeracy and literacy – ability to read pick lists, count stock, and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even under time pressure.
• Physical fitness – comfortable standing, walking, and reaching for full shifts.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping and a strong work ethic.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, retail stockroom, or order fulfilment environment.
• Experience using handheld barcode scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Manual Handling certification.
